Hey everyone!

You might have noticed a few "roots" posts up on the website recently. Well, as the resident California Girl on the 350 team, it’s time for me to give a shoutout to the Golden State. There are so many incredible actions happening–not least of which is organized by my dad, in my hometown of Sonoma, California. All throughout Sonoma and Marin counties, incredibly creative community events will take place.

Then, in San Francisco, home to one of the 350.org global offices, one of the largest events in the U.S. will take place. It’s organized by a wonderful group, who I hear are having a planning meeting as I write.

Starting at 3:00pm on Saturday at the park across from the Ferry Building downtown (1 Market Street), and the program that includes the city’s greenest Supervisor, Ross Mirkarimi, and performances from Youth Speaks.  The big aerial art image will include one massive parachute, three large banners, hundreds of people and dozens of bikes.
