Northland Bioneers Conference
Saturday, 24 October, 2009 - 09:00
We invite you to join us at the 4th Annual Northland Bioneers Conference!
The conference will present several opportunities to hear national Bioneers plenary speakers talk about climate change issues (Kari Fulton, national campus campaign coordinator for the Environmental Justice and Climate Change Initiative; Sarah James, Gwich'in Elder from Alaska talking about effects of climate change on indigenous people), as well local opportunities for action.
All day Saturday, take the time to write a letter to your political representatives (President Obama, senators, representatives) to encourage them to take action on climate change and commit to the mission of 350.org. Also, write on our banner what YOUR commitment will be to future generations and what action YOU will take to reduce your impact on the planet.
Then, at 5:30pm, join us for a photograph to be submitted to 350.org.
