Squash The Climate Crisis
Saturday, 24 October, 2009 - 12:30
Sustainable Vashon hosted a 350.org action called "Squash the Climate Crisis", which focused on the relationship between local food and farmers and climate change. We gave all of the donated squash to the food bank afterwards.. We also had homemade zucchini and carrot cookies, which were baked at 350 (contrasted with a few burnt ones baked at 387). After the photo op, we shared the extra cookies with vendors and shoppers at the farmers market where we held our event. It was a great day!
