350 Windmills for Climate Change
Saturday, 24 October, 2009 - 13:00
Come along on the 24th of October to the Royal Park Regatta Lawns
for a family-friendly afternoon of local music, face painting, circus toys and more!
Make your own colour paper windmills to 'plant' in the lawn spelling out the number 350, to send a message to our leaders to do more towards climate change. We will also have several speakers, including a member of Get-Up, addressing briefly what 350 is all about and what we can do about it.
Time: 1-4pm
BYO picnic
At the end of the afternoon (4pm) we will be taking aerial photos of the windmills, along with as many people as possible, spelling out '350'.
Come along and show Launceston (and the world) that you are concerned about climate change! Every windmill makes a difference!
