E-Waste Recycling Collection

MCLA Facilities in cooperation with the Campus Sustainability Committee will be sponsoring an E-Waste Recycling drop off for the campus community. The event will be well advertised and used to draw attention to the various waste minimization and recycling efforts that are ongoing at MCLA. Students and volunteers will distribute information on 350 and the upcoming Climate Meeting in Copenhagen. This event coincides with Family Weekend, affording us a larger, broad audience. It will be known that this event is in support of 350 Day, and it will cap off a week of other Sustainable Events on campus, including a viewing of "On Thin Ice" by David Brancaccio (PBS, NOW) on Wednesday the 21st, and the annual environmental lecture featuring the Chief Sustainability officer at Owens-Corning on Thursday the 22nd. At the conclusion of the pick up at noon, we will take and upload a photo to 350.org of our accomplishment, which hopefully will be to have collected at least 350 pieces of E-waste for recycling!
