Revolutionary Ride to Climate Action
24 October 2009 - 12:30pm
Do you live near the Lexington Green?
Are you planning to attend the Revolutionary Rally at the Old North Bridge in Concord, MA?
What better way to get there than to ride your bike along the route the Minutemen took from the Lexington Green to the Old North Bridge in 1775.
The Revolutionary Ride will be the perfect way to arrive at the International Day of Climate Change event that will be held at the Old North Bridge starting at 2PM.
We will be gathering on the Lexington Green in front of Hancock Church (1912 Massachusetts Avenue) at 12:15PM.
We will be leaving at 12:30PM from the Lexington Green for the 7 mile ride to the Old North Bridge and raising the 350 alarm to the surrounding communities on our way to Concord.
Hybrid or mountain bikes are recommended as we will be traveling 1 mile on the Battle road trail through the Minuteman National Park. Bring a water bottle and something to eat!

Understanding 350
- So, what is global warming and what's the problem anyway?
- And what does this 350 number even mean?
- If we're already past 350, are we all doomed?
- How do we create the political change to steer towards 350?
- How do we get the world on track to get to 350?
- How do we actually reduce carbon emissions to get to 350??
- Will this thing work? Will world leaders listen?
- Where did this 350 number come from?
- Isn't America the biggest source of the problem? What about China and India?
- 350 is just a number. Wouldn't "Climate Emergency" or "Clean Energy Now" be a better call to action?
- And what about all the other targets people are aiming for?
- Why October 24th?
- Why another organization--there are already too many things going on!
- Do you measure 350 in CO2 or CO2e?
