The Bigger Picture: A Festival of Interdependence

24 October 2009 - 11:00am

We know that we're living in a period of converging crises: there's little doubt that we face a daunting array of social, economic, politcal and environmental challenges. But we don't always see how inter-related these challenges are, nor the solutions which them into opportunities for positive change. That's why, with the climate clock ticking, nef (the new economics foundation) is bringing together a range of organisations, artists and thinkers to stage a series of events and activities this autumn under the banner The Bigger Picture.

We'll be hosting discussions, actions and exhibitions, ending with a major "festival of interdependence" in London on October 24th 2009 . The festival will bring together artists, thinkers, activists and you for a day of learning, making, celebrating and debating, about how we can start the Great Transition to a new economy. Best of all, the festival will be completely free.

The day will also feature a big group action to highlight the importance of getting back to 350 ppm carbon dioxide.

With more than partner organisations and over thirty speakers already confirmed, make sure that you are a part of The Bigger Picture too. Visit the Bigger Picture website to find out more and register for updates about the festival.
