What: Candlelight Vigil to support delegates in Copenhagen: speakers and photo op to show local support for delegates in Copenhagen
Where: Lake Harriet Bandshell
When: Saturday, December 12: light candles at 4:00pm; speakers at 4:45pm; photo at 5:30pm
Why: Show support for delegates in Copenhagen
How: Gather for community support of climate change. Bring warm clothes and candles to light the night!

Here are some of the delegates we are supporting:

Volunteers - Will you pitch in and show your support for delegates in Copenhagen? Your support is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

PREP:
- Make banners and bring them for display at the vigil
- Write a message to be read at the vigil and delivered to the delegates in Copenhagen
- Pick up coffee at Peace Coffee (on Friday, 12/11, between 8am-4pm Friday)
- Brew coffee and bring it to the vigil to distribute
- Pick up cookies at Perkin's (Saturday, 12/12, between 9am-12pm) and bring to the vigil
- Call around to see if anyone would be interested in donating candles and bringing them to the vigil
- Call around to see if anyone has a portable PA System (microphone/amp) they could donate the use of and bring to the vigil

DAY OF:
- Distribute candles (4:00-4:30pm)
- Bring matches and light candles
- Distribute coffee and cookies (4:00-4:30pm)
- Hang banner(s) (4:00-4:30pm)
- Hand out printed materials
- Obtain attendee signatures on the "350.org Survival Pact" (bring clipboard and signature page http://action.350.org/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=1711)
- Manage check-in table for speakers (Speakers from 4:45pm-5:15pm)
- Need leader to introduce speakers and invite people to LIGHT THEIR CANDLES (4:45-5:15pm)
- Need leader to announce photo op taking place at 5:30pm, gather people and invite them to LIGHT THEIR CANDLES; make sure any press in attendance is taking pictures/video (5:15-5:30pm)
- Need leader to manage press coverage, so people in attendance have a chance to get their voices heard (5:30-6:00pm)

AFTER THE EVENT:
- Write up stories for the press
- Send photos/videos/messages to delegates in Copenhagen
- Post photos/videos to Facebook, Flickr, etc. and share with community
- Send "350.org Survival Pact" signatures to delegates in Copenhagen and report results of local support to the press
