Sounding for Wisdom at Copenhagen

On December 13th at 12 noon, we will gather at Trinity-St. Paul’s United Church sanctuary for a sounding ritual to raise our heart and voices to call forth the highest wisdom and compassion from all those gathered at the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen. The ritual will be led by Toronto composer and soundhealer Wende Bartley, and will combine a group sound circle experience as well as an offering of sound by members of the soundhealing collective “Hathorah”.

Sounding is a form of vocal prayer which opens the heart and helps us to express the feelings, emotions and longings of our soul through the power of our voice. Through collective sounding, we can magnify and energize specific intentions which contribute towards creating transformative change in areas of global need. In our ritual we will hold the following intention:

“We the people, the ancestors of our great, great grandchildren, call forth the deepest wisdom and the highest compassion from all those working for a healthy global climate, for the benefit of the entire Earth community and the next seven generations. May Wisdom and Peace Prevail on Earth”. (written by members of the Wise Climate Community: www.gaiafield.net)
