Cycle Caravan
Hundreds of cyclists and tri-cyclists took to the streets of Dar es Salaam as part of the 10-10-10 global day of action to tackle climate change. The event organized by UWABA (Umma Wa Wapanda Baiskeli – Community of those who ride bicycles) and ForumCC (the Tanzanian Civil Society Forum on Climate Change) called on Tanzanians to travel by bicycle in order to reduce carbon emissions and called on world leaders to cut the emissions of carbon that are causing climate change and for the rich nations to assist the poorest to adapt to the increasing impacts of climate change. It was a looong ride around Dar on a hot day, nice though and a lot of people saw and heard us.
