Craftster/350 Craft and T-shirt Contest

In 2008, 350.org teamed up with Craftster.org, and other crafting organizations to sponsor Creativity 350 - a craft and t-shirt contests. Together we asked people to create quilts, t-shirts, hats, needlepoint designs, finger puppets, or any craft imaginable that helped to spread the number 350 in their community. See the beautiful designs in the slideshow below, or visit the official site to read all the descriptions and see them in higher quality: www.craftster.org/350.The contest may be over, but you can still submit crafts and designs to the 350 Art Gallery!
Many thanks to the Creativity 350 partners for helping to spread the word about the campaign, and many thanks to the companies who so generously donated the wonderful prizes for the contest (see full prize details on the contest website): Brighter Planet, Coats and Clark, Envirosax, Pebeo, Speedball, fredflare.com, Quirk, JGoods, Craft Magazine, Sublime Stitching, and Etsy.

Understanding 350
- So, what is global warming and what's the problem anyway?
- And what does this 350 number even mean?
- If we're already past 350, are we all doomed?
- How do we create the political change to steer towards 350?
- How do we get the world on track to get to 350?
- How do we actually reduce carbon emissions to get to 350??
- Will this thing work? Will world leaders listen?
- Where did this 350 number come from?
- Isn't America the biggest source of the problem? What about China and India?
- 350 is just a number. Wouldn't "Climate Emergency" or "Clean Energy Now" be a better call to action?
- And what about all the other targets people are aiming for?
- Why October 24th?
- Why another organization--there are already too many things going on!
- Do you measure 350 in CO2 or CO2e?
