It's Time - Bonn Action
The countdown is on – the clock is ticking!
Take part at the Climate Action Day in Bonn, Germany 06.06.2009
(Informationen auf Deutsch findet ihr hier.)
We cannot deny it – climate change is rapidly reaching more and more parts of the world. Human livelihood is already under threat. More and more animals and plants won’t be able to deal with the warming of our planet, if politicians are not acting now.
This December at the international climate talks in Copenhagen the future of our planet will be decided. Governments from all parts of the world will be deciding on how a dangerous destabilization of our climate can be haltered and further warming can be stopped.
What’s happening in Bonn? Between the 1st and 12th June the next climate negotiations will be happening here in Bonn. Here at Bonn Governments from over 190 different countries will be deciding on our future climate.
Take action! We want to show the delegates that the future of our climate counts for us. It’s our future! That’s why we need to make our voice count and demonstrate strong presence. To do that we you’re your support. Just together we are strong and can stop climate change.

Let’s start
- 12.00 – Climate Aerial picture at the Rheinauen – Climate countdown!
- A spectacular aerial picture shot for which we need over 1000 participants from Bonn! Be part of the message. Together we will spell out our message at the Rheinauen and will be photographed from the air to send a message to world governments. The countdown is on!
- 13.30 - Climate rally from the Rheinauen to the UN climate conference (Maritim hotel)
- After the aerial picture shot we will march together to the climate conference where the future of our planet will be negotiated. There we will rally and deliver our message to the delegates. We want to show them that they are negotiating our future. After the rally there is the possibility to talk in person to some of the delegates.

Understanding 350
- So, what is global warming and what's the problem anyway?
- And what does this 350 number even mean?
- If we're already past 350, are we all doomed?
- How do we create the political change to steer towards 350?
- How do we get the world on track to get to 350?
- How do we actually reduce carbon emissions to get to 350??
- Will this thing work? Will world leaders listen?
- Where did this 350 number come from?
- Isn't America the biggest source of the problem? What about China and India?
- 350 is just a number. Wouldn't "Climate Emergency" or "Clean Energy Now" be a better call to action?
- And what about all the other targets people are aiming for?
- Why October 24th?
- Why another organization--there are already too many things going on!
- Do you measure 350 in CO2 or CO2e?
