How can you make an impact?

Take 3 easy steps anytime between today & October 24th:

________________________________________________
1. Review and Select Important Information

Review the "Action Resources" (files attached below & on Facebook) and select the information that you feel best reflect the most important facts, issues and solutions, especially for your local region.
________________________________________________
2. Present for Others (even if for just one person...1,000 would be better of course!)

Briefly present (around 3:50 minutes) your selected information. Use the provided videos as part of your presentation to make it even easier to get the message across.

Alternatively, do anything of your choice that will raise awareness. You can be as creative as you like, just stick with the theme of 350, for example: hug 350 people, spend 3.5 hours or 3.5 minutes fixing the environment around you, invite 350 people to this event...the possibilities are endless! (but please stay within the boundaries of the law and good intent)

You can do this almost anywhere and with anyone. Some suggestions:

* Workplace
* School, College, University
* Association, Organization, Club
* Friends, Relatives, Family
* Get Creative! (but please stay within the boundaries of the law and good intent)

3. Make Your Voice Heard!

o Document your efforts with Photo(s) and/or Film(s) of the event and the audience (please make sure that "GEO350" is somehow visible and send us a digital copy so we can help you make it count).

For some examples from 2008, view the links and photos provided.

o Invite your local politicians and the media to address the GEO350 Climate Action Day Event on October 24th, the 350 International Day of Climate Action.

o Attend your local GEO350 Climate Action Event: Ask your favorite establishment about their "GEO350" themed event. Invite them to join if they haven't already: its free and its a great way to bring awareness to climate change!

o Tell others to Take Action: spread the word to your family, friends and acquaintances!

Be Recognized for Your Involvement:

This month take action as one of 350 GEO350 presenters or event volunteers and we will provide you with a credible reference for your current or future resume.

Please remember to invite everyone else. Civilization depends on all of us!

October 24th was a success in Toronto!

Thanks to the great people of the Regenesis Project as well as hundreds of other supporters, the GEO350, held at Beaver Hall Gallery yesterday, produced an effective call for Climate Justice Now!

Exhibit highlights included the Vote Earth/350 interactive voting booth & the launch of the "Green Ribbon to Show Your Vote!" campaign.

Were you there? Let us know of your experience!

Also, more volunteers are needed for upcoming events. Interested?

Looking forward to posting details & pics soon.
